The advantages and disadvantages of instant message.

Since the internet becomes popular and convenient in the world, there are more and more people communicate with each other by instant message. So, there are many advantages and disadvantages. Following are my opinions for your reference: I think one of the advantages of using instant message is convenient, you can send message at any time of day or night, or you also can send it in any place by internet. Besides, you can save your time because you can talk with many people at the same time, and the messages can be received immediately to reduce the reply time. It also can save a lot of money, you can chat with your friends or family for free, and you can use it to talk instead of cell phone. Regarding to the disadvantage, first of all is no privacy, because all the communication record will be record in the computer. Furthermore, your friends are easy to contact you when they meet you on line. The other one disadvantage is you can’t concentrate on your job very well. The message will disturb your work so that it may cause you to send the message to the wrong person. Finally, the most disadvantage is you need equipment to send the instant message, such as fast computer, internet, otherwise it won’t work. Using instant message is really a good way to contact with people in any purpose. But you have to understand the advantages and disadvantages in advance to perform the advantages and avoid the disadvantages effect. You’ll have a lot of fun and get more benefits by instant message.

Child Abuse Hotline Ad Uses Photographic Trick That Makes It Visible Only To Children

A Spanish organization called Fundación ANAR, or Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk, created a bus-stop advertisement in April that features the group’s hotline number for children to report abuse. But by using a process called lenticular photography, the company made the hotline number, and much of the ad’s content, visible only to those under a certain height — presumably children.

Lenticular photography allows companies to create an image in a way that lets viewers see one of several different photos, depending on where they’re standing. In the case of ANAR’s ad, anyone taller than 4 feet 5 inches — the average height of a 10-year-old, according to the group — would see a picture of a boy with an unmarked face and the following message: “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.” Anyone under that height would see an image of the boy with a bruised face, the organization’s hotline number (116-111) in white text, and the message, “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.”
